The first trailer for the fifth Rambo movie,  Rambo: Last Blood, dropped on the internet today. The trailer follows an older John Rambo as he goes after a drug cartel when a young girl is kidnapped. You can watch the Rambo: Last Blood trailer below:

Wasn’t that BADASS? I gotta say, I’m impressed by how technically great this film looks. The cinematography in Rambo: Last Blood appears to be taking great advantage of the Western-style setting of the movie, as well as Mexico in the brief look we get at the country in this trailer. The overhead shot of Rambo riding his horse, the rocking chair shot, and the shot of him walking through his house and out his front door all stuck out to me. I’m extremely excited for this movie as a huge fan of the franchise and this character. First Blood is an absolute action masterpiece that is so under-discussed in between talk of the Die Hards and the Commandos of the 1980s. John Rambo’s story seemed to end with the conclusion of Rambo (number 4 in the series), but star and co-writer Sylvester Stallone must have had one more tale in him, and I’m excited to see what he has in store for us when Rambo: Last Blood releases in theaters on September 20th, 2019.
